2. O Emperor – Sunday May 5th Whelan’s

Waterford indie five piece O Emperor have gained much critical and commercial respect since releasing their debut album Hither Thither. However with the release of their new single ‘Holy Fool‘ the band have undergone a sea change sonically, with the introduction of an edgier, fuzz laden sound. With O Emperor’s sophomore album Vitreous due for release this summer it will be interesting to see if the band brings a  similar approach to their live performance at this years Camden Crawl.

1. Margie Lewis – Sunday May 5th Dublin Unitarian Church

Australian artist Margie Lewis has spent the past several years collaborating with a number of indie acts on the Irish music scene including Bantum, Geppetto and more recently the Young Hearts Run Free Collective. With her individual approach to instrumentation and composition, synthesizing processed beats and vocal loops, she has created a sound that is unique and atmospheric. Coupled with the intimate location of Dublin’s Unitarian Church and new solo material due later this year, Margie Lewis has indentified herself as the hidden-gem of this year’s festival, making her the must see act of the Camden Crawl 2013.
